 As the members of the Electrical Engineering Society hand over the reins to the new team, we would like to throw light on their hard work and excellence. A special thanks to all members of the preceding team for setting an impeccable example for their juniors to follow. On 12th September, the Electrical Engineering Society of IET Lucknow commenced for the year 2022-23, with the appointment of its new post holders. The team showed great enthusiasm and promise as they vowed to facilitate the metamorphosis of this society and all things attached to it.  The candidates were selected after a thorough screening of their documentation, followed by an interview. Once the team was onboard, the first official meet was held and various objectives and targets were discussed.  A new team means a fresh perspective and even fresher zeal. "If you have to put someone on a pedestal, put teachers, they are society's heroes." - Guy Kawasaki 5th September celebrates the birth anniversary of scholar and Bharat Ratna recipient Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, born on the same day in 1888. On this day,  the Electrical Engineering Society of IET College organised an event earmarked for our teachers, who are well-known for their role in carving their students' lives.  The event started with the lighting of the lamp and was followed by taking blessings from the goddess Saraswati. Then there were programs like speeches, poems, and songs highlighting the importance of teachers in our lives. Soon after, the teachers shared their words of wisdom with the students and encouraged them to follow the right path. We felt grateful listening to the inducing terms from the faculty. It made us cherish the student-teacher bond way more. It was a day of self-introspection and realisation. Teachers teach us kindness and perseverance...

Closing circles, shutting doors, finishing chapters, it doesn't matter what we call it; what matters is to leave in the past those moments in life that are over." - Paulo Coelho The day 13th june, 2022 marked the end of the EES Session of 2021-2022. Also we bid farewell to our seniors(EES members specifically), outgoing batch of 2022. Endings are new beginnings so keeping that in mind all EES members along with the faculties celebrated the day to the fullest. The day was about celebrating all the bonds we built here, the memories we created, and the chances we took. Also it was so hard for us to say goodbye to our seniors. Goodbyes are always harder than hellos. It was indeed a bittersweet moment for all of us but we felt so happy to see our seniors succed in life and enter a new phase in their life. Finally, it was just a wonderful day and everyone enjoyed a lot.

 It's a great honour for us to be here with the annual magazine "The Electrical Digest " 2021-2022. The mesmerizing journey of EES is portrayed through this magazine. "Limited space creates unlimited creativity", the creativity of to be Electrical Engineers is also mirrored to the fullest through the magazine.The magazine potrays the journey full of excitement, inguinity and claims of triumph.  An interaction program was organised for Btech Electrical Engineering first-year students on 24th April , 2022. To break the ice between new entrants and already existing students a “junior-senior interaction” program was organised at the campus by the Electrical Engineering Society. The aim of this session was to set up a healthy relationship between freshers and seniors and make the transition of first-year students from school to college smoother. The program helped freshers in getting along with seniors and assimilating in the new atmosphere of IET LUCKNOW. In this session seniors, while playing a dual role of a friend and a mentor, counselled the freshers on how to study, what to study, career opportunities, higher studies and internship and job opportunities.  The inter-batch dialogue with seniors was a great help for freshers. In the end, freshers felt motivated and appreciated this session.

 The Electrical Engineering Society welcomed first year Electrical Engineering with the noteworthy event Vis-a-vis. The event consisted of four rounds- Group Discussion, Debate, Just a minute (JAM) and final round Presentation which was successfully conducted offline by the EES team. The literary event not only enhanced students' communication and presentation skills but also boosted their confidence in public speaking.     "Winning is not always about being best. Sometimes it's about holding on the longest."All the freshers put out a valiant effort and participated to the end. Vis-a-Vis, an initiative from Electrical Engineering Society was overall an intriguing journey and the whole first year travelled it well.The leaderboard here reveals the names of top three ranker and other participants. Every name included here deserves our warmest congratulations. These competitions assuredly helped the students boost up their skills and cognizance.

 A river cuts through rock not because of its power, but its persistence. As our frequency remains constant with increasing wavelengths of our team spirit, the Electrical Engineering Society started with *2nd Episode of HOLD HIGH THE FLAME* with high flyer *Krishna Meerendra sir*, who has brought Institute of Engineering and Technology to the top of the board via his unwavering thriving triumph. He is an *alumini of EE'20, IET Lucknow*, who scored *AIR 20 in GATE'21* and added feathers to his cap by scoring *AIR 15 in ESE'21*.  On *15th May, 2022*, the session was conducted in online mode through the *Google Meet platform*.  Electrical Engineering Society started an electrifying series *Hold the Flame High* for all the students of Electrical Engineering Department with various sessions and events to add spark to their college life. "Success comes to those who work hard and stays with those, who don't rest on the laurels of the past." Students of Electrical Engineering Department are proving the same with their never give up attitude. The first episode of the series started with an interactive interview session with our star achiever *Pracheta Pathak* Sir, final year Electrical Engineering student of IET LUCKNOW who not only achieved the rank of *587* in *GATE* 2022 but also cracked the *BARC* online test 2022.  An industrial visit to Lucknow City Transport Service Limited, Dubagga, Lucknow was organised for B.Tech 3rd year Electrical Engineering students on 30/04/2022. The visit was organised by Electrical Engineering Department , Institute of Engineering and Technology, Lucknow. Transportation is a fundamental requirement of modern life, but traditional internal combustion engines are rapidly becoming obsolete. Gasoline and diesel vehicles are highly polluting and are quickly being replaced by fully electric vehicles. Electrical vehicles are more efficient and also produce less noise pollution as there is no engine under the hood. All electric vehicles (EVs) have no tailpipe emissions and are far more environmental friendly with lower running costs, low maintenance costs.  A one day technical visit to Uttar Pradesh Power Transmission Corporation Limited (UPPCL) Sarojini Nagar, LUCKNOW was organised for the final year students of Electrical Engineering Department, IET LUCKNOW on 31st March, 2022. UP Power Transmission Corporation Limited, incorporated under the Companies Act 1956, was incorporated in 2006 with the main objective to acquire, establish, operate, run, manage,maintain, renovate, modernize, work and use of electrical transmission lines and/or network through extra high voltage, high voltage and associated sub-stations, cables, wires, connected with transmission ancillary services, telecommunication and telemetering equipment in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India and elsewhere. On the 30th March, the Electrical department and EES conducted a one-day technical visit to the Lucknow Metro Railway Corporation (LMRC) in Uttar Pradesh for Third year students of Electrical engineering Department, IET LUCKNOW . This visit helped the students for a practical exposure in various subjects like control system, Power System.To build and run the metro, the Government of India and the Government of Uttar Pradesh formed the Lucknow Metro Rail Corporation, a 50:50 joint venture. LMRC (Lucknow Metro Rail Corporation) achieved various milestones while constructing the 8.5 km 'Priority Corridor' project between Transport Nagar and Charbagh.   As another set of months pass by, the EES Family knits itself through a series of events that has not only woven the competitive skills in the students but also empathised everyone with assertiveness and positivity. INTEGREAT: The Quiz is here to test your brainstorming nerves and engage into the lot of curiosities.  The activity was held on 18 December, 2021 and consisted of 4 rounds- Current Affairs and India The Pictionary The Technical Round Rapid Fire The activity was an effort by the members of EES to bring something exciting in the monotonous hectic schedules of second year students of Electrical Engineering Department. The esteemed judge of the event was Neha Manjul Ma'am. The event engaged a total of 8 teams with a team leader each, who "Gamed, Quizzed and Conquered". The winning team members were awarded with an opportunity to buy any book worth Rs. 500 each.

IET family believes that ‘An investment in knowledge always pays back the best interest.’ Maintaining the same spirit of learning new things and fighting with all odds to make advancement in knowledge level, a Lecture Series on ‘INDUSTRIAL AUTOMATION AND CONTROL’ was conducted for Third year Electrical students (2023 Batch) by ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT, that kick-started from 8th October, 2021. The lecture series focused on introducing the present-day trends in the industrial sector. Considering that automation is the future of technology, the event saw active participation. The UP-State Load Dispatch Centre is the apex body to ensure integrated operation of the power system in the State of UP. It is the strategic functional unit of Uttar Pradesh Power Transmission Corporation Ltd., for discharging various functions specified under Section 32 of Indian Electricity Act 2003. The main responsibilities of UPSLDC include ensuring the integrated operation of the power system in the Northern Region and monitoring of system parameters and system security.   A one day technical visit to State Load Dispatch Centre (SLDC) of Uttar Pradesh was organized for Electrical engineering students by Electrical department and EES on 9th October, 2021. SLDC is the prime body which is responsible for the integrated operation of power system in Uttar Pradesh. SLDC ensures the secure and economic working of the state grid and also carry out practical operations for grid control and electricity dispatch in the state. The SLDC works under RLDC which further works under NLDC. We would really thank our honorable HOD Dr. Seethalekshmi K Ma'am as well as the staff for organizing the visit. With the conclusion of another successful and fruitful year, Electrical Engineering Society expresses joy and presents a heartily welcome to the companions and new team members that have been declared by our honorable faculty advisor, Dr. Nitin Anand Srivastava Sir. With the vision and motive of aspirations, EES aims to spread the  message of positivity and diligence everywhere.

With confetti and bouquets ready, we welcomed our beloved guiding lights to the podium, to celebrate their day. We took this opportunity to thank our generous teachers who ushered us to the lights of wisdom. Be it in person or virtually, our teachers never missed a chance of imparting knowledge. So, On 6th September 2021, Electrical Engineering society gathered to commend Teacher’s Day. To grace the occasion, we had our respected faculty members. The event was taken as a juncture to appreciate the hard work by our teachers. The enchantment of Guru Vandana and Saraswati Vandana highlighted the piousness of the moment.
