Lecture series in Industrial Automation

IET family believes that ‘An investment in knowledge always pays back the best interest.’ Maintaining the same spirit of learning new things and fighting with all odds to make advancement in knowledge level, a Lecture Series on ‘INDUSTRIAL AUTOMATION AND CONTROL’ was conducted for Third year Electrical students (2023 Batch) by ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT, that kick-started from 8th October, 2021. The lecture series focused on introducing the present-day trends in the industrial sector. Considering that automation is the future of technology, the event saw active participation. It was a four day event and students were familiarized with many interesting topics like Substation Automation and its functions, its components, Standard protocols and so on.

Mr. N. MURUGESAN, the expert speaker of this series had nearly 42 years of experience in the areas of Standardization of Electrical Equipment at both National(BIS) and International level (STL). He has managed one of the largest Power Engineering Research Institute under the Ministry of Power, Government of India, as its Director General for about five years .

The series received positive feedback from all the attendees and was a great success. Students are thankful to the department for taking such a wonderful initiative, it will surely help the students in developing their career ahead in the field.
