Teachers' Day Celebration, 2022

5th September celebrates the birth anniversary of scholar and Bharat Ratna recipient Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, born on the same day in 1888. On this day,  the Electrical Engineering Society of IET College organised an event earmarked for our teachers, who are well-known for their role in carving their students' lives. 

The event started with the lighting of the lamp and was followed by taking blessings from the goddess Saraswati. Then there were programs like speeches, poems, and songs highlighting the importance of teachers in our lives. Soon after, the teachers shared their words of wisdom with the students and encouraged them to follow the right path. We felt grateful listening to the inducing terms from the faculty. It made us cherish the student-teacher bond way more. It was a day of self-introspection and realisation. Teachers teach us kindness and perseverance, the virtues of hard work, curiosity, and the ability to look beyond textbooks. Indeed in the true sense, a guru is one whose teachings lend a definite culture and set of values.
