Visit to State Load Dispatch Centre (SLDC) for Final Year


The UP-State Load Dispatch Centre is the apex body to ensure integrated operation of the power system in the State of UP. It is the strategic functional unit of Uttar Pradesh Power Transmission Corporation Ltd., for discharging various functions specified under Section 32 of Indian Electricity Act 2003. The main responsibilities of UPSLDC include ensuring the integrated operation of the power system in the Northern Region and monitoring of system parameters and system security.

An activity where textual knowledge was converted to practical knowledge. A door that led to the way of practicality and knowledge. Following is an extract from this academic experience

A technical visit State Load Dispatch Centre (SLDC) of Uttar Pradesh was organized for the final year batch of Electrical Engineering by the Electrical Engineering Society on 2021. The motive was to give an insightful academic experience to the fourth-year students as they are soon approaching their professional journey. Students observed and learned as to how theoretical concepts are put into action, thereby aiding their practical learning. An exposure to the real working environment was provided and how things are done in an organization was shown. A special thanks to our honorable HOD Dr. Seethalekshmi K Ma'am as well as the staff for organizing the visit.

Inaguration of Tesla Hall: EES Library & Meeting Room

On 24th November 2018, the meeting room and library of EES, the Tesla Hall, was inaugurated by the hands of Alumni of the 1993 batch of the department in presence of Prof. Bharti Dwivedi ma'am. The inauguration was scheduled on the occasion of Convergence'18, the Silver Jubilee program of 1989-93 batch of the institute. The work of the library was started after it was announced in the Teacher's Day program. By the hard work of the Library Committee and other active members of EES from 2nd and 3rd year, the library has again come to a state to operate for the welfare of the students of the society. Special thanks to HOD sir, Prof. Kuldeep Sahay for providing curtains and a  roundtable along with cousin chairs for the hall. Result Announcement - Group Discussion!

The Electrical Engineering Society (EES) successfully conducted its Group Discussion (GD) Event , designed to help students strengthen one of the most essential skills in the professional world that is  effective communication . The event aimed to create a dynamic platform where participants could express their ideas, think critically, listen actively, and collaborate within a team setting. Students engaged in thoughtful discussions on current topics, showcased their reasoning abilities, and demonstrated confidence and clarity in presenting their viewpoints. Electrical Vehicle Technology and Industry

  A five-day live-online-training-program (24 to 28 November 2020) was scheduled on “Electric Vehicle Technology and EV Industry” (which includes Control of Electric Vehicle) for organizing in November, 2020.
