 A one day technical visit to Uttar Pradesh Power Transmission Corporation Limited (UPPCL) Sarojini Nagar, LUCKNOW was organised for the final year students of Electrical Engineering Department, IET LUCKNOW on 31st March, 2022. UP Power Transmission Corporation Limited, incorporated under the Companies Act 1956, was incorporated in 2006 with the main objective to acquire, establish, operate, run, manage,maintain, renovate, modernize, work and use of electrical transmission lines and/or network through extra high voltage, high voltage and associated sub-stations, cables, wires, connected with transmission ancillary services, telecommunication and telemetering equipment in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India and elsewhere. The visit helped the students for a practical exposure into electricity transmission system. On the 30th March, the Electrical department and EES conducted a one-day technical visit to the Lucknow Metro Railway Corporation (LMRC) in Uttar Pradesh for Third year students of Electrical engineering Department, IET LUCKNOW . This visit helped the students for a practical exposure in various subjects like control system, Power System.To build and run the metro, the Government of India and the Government of Uttar Pradesh formed the Lucknow Metro Rail Corporation, a 50:50 joint venture. LMRC (Lucknow Metro Rail Corporation) achieved various milestones while constructing the 8.5 km 'Priority Corridor' project between Transport Nagar and Charbagh. We would like to express our gratitude to our esteemed HOD, Dr. Seethalekshmi K Ma'am, as well as the team, for their efforts in organising the visit. Here are few glimpses of the same.

  As another set of months pass by, the EES Family knits itself through a series of events that has not only woven the competitive skills in the students but also empathised everyone with assertiveness and positivity. Oorja not only has stuffed in the various   milestones the EES has catapulted through but also juxtaposes the present personality skill set of it's ignited minds with the past. Thereby, dive into the glimpses that has inked on and captured it's corners during this time.

In the air of  high hopes and unending curiosity, EES welcomes you to the abode of knowledge and inquisitiveness. INTEGREAT: The Quiz is here to test your brainstorming nerves and engage into the lot of curiosities.  The activity was held on 18 December, 2021 and consisted of 4 rounds- Current Affairs and India The Pictionary The Technical Round Rapid Fire The activity was an effort by the members of EES to bring something exciting in the monotonous hectic schedules of second year students of Electrical Engineering Department. The esteemed judge of the event was Neha Manjul Ma'am. The event engaged a total of 8 teams with a team leader each, who "Gamed, Quizzed and Conquered". The winning team members were awarded with an opportunity to buy any book worth Rs. 500 each.

IET family believes that ‘An investment in knowledge always pays back the best interest.’ Maintaining the same spirit of learning new things and fighting with all odds to make advancement in knowledge level, a Lecture Series on ‘INDUSTRIAL AUTOMATION AND CONTROL’ was conducted for Third year Electrical students (2023 Batch) by ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT, that kick-started from 8th October, 2021. The lecture series focused on introducing the present-day trends in the industrial sector. Considering that automation is the future of technology, the event saw active participation. It was a four day event and students were familiarized with many interesting topics like Substation Automation and its functions, its components, Standard protocols and so on. Mr. N. The UP-State Load Dispatch Centre is the apex body to ensure integrated operation of the power system in the State of UP. It is the strategic functional unit of Uttar Pradesh Power Transmission Corporation Ltd., for discharging various functions specified under Section 32 of Indian Electricity Act 2003. The main responsibilities of UPSLDC include ensuring the integrated operation of the power system in the Northern Region and monitoring of system parameters and system security. An activity where textual knowledge was converted to practical knowledge. A door that led to the way of practicality and knowledge.   A one day technical visit to State Load Dispatch Centre (SLDC) of Uttar Pradesh was organized for Electrical engineering students by Electrical department and EES on 9th October, 2021. SLDC is the prime body which is responsible for the integrated operation of power system in Uttar Pradesh. SLDC ensures the secure and economic working of the state grid and also carry out practical operations for grid control and electricity dispatch in the state. The SLDC works under RLDC which further works under NLDC. We would really thank our honorable HOD Dr. Seethalekshmi K Ma'am as well as the staff for organizing the visit.   With the age-old golden traditions, rises a brand-new sun. Likewise on 2nd September 2021, our new team of EES promised to retrace the paths set by legacy. With the conclusion of another successful and fruitful year, Electrical Engineering Society expresses joy and presents a heartily welcome to the companions and new team members that have been declared by our honorable faculty advisor, Dr. Nitin Anand Srivastava Sir. With the vision and motive of aspirations, EES aims to spread the  message of positivity and diligence everywhere.

With confetti and bouquets ready, we welcomed our beloved guiding lights to the podium, to celebrate their day. We took this opportunity to thank our generous teachers who ushered us to the lights of wisdom. Be it in person or virtually, our teachers never missed a chance of imparting knowledge. So, On 6th September 2021, Electrical Engineering society gathered to commend Teacher’s Day. To grace the occasion, we had our respected faculty members. The event was taken as a juncture to appreciate the hard work by our teachers. The enchantment of Guru Vandana and Saraswati Vandana highlighted the piousness of the moment. The members threw light on the contribution of educator in our lives by presenting speeches in english and hindi.  As the arch of the aorta is beating to its fastest rhythm, and a blanket of radiating patriotism flows out in its full flourish, EES uncoils its winners for the "Poster making and Essay writing" competition in the humble honour of Netaji. A basket of ebullient good wishes for all the participants and heartfelt congratulations for the winners who had vibrantly brought out the potent and mettle.   A five-day live-online-training-program (24 to 28 November 2020) was scheduled on “Electric Vehicle Technology and EV Industry” (which includes Control of Electric Vehicle) for organizing in November, 2020.   With the tantalizing season of meteorological autumn,  along with the razzle-dazzle within, On the fiesta of teachers day, celebrated each year on 5 th September, we the electrical engineering society integrated our student folks to join us for the grand online merriment. We plumped our energies high up, revitalized ourself and pulled up our socks to surprise our teachers who play a massive role in our life each day, be it a pandemic situation or a normal happy go one. We commenced our programme with the recitation of Saraswati Mantra followed by the inaugural speech where we welcomed our honorable faculty members. As we unraveled our shades of intra mural gusto we presented a virtual bouquet and some artworks done by our classmates along with a mesmerizing wheelwork depicting their preciousness in our lives.   With the end of a dusking sun, there begins a new dawn, a fresh one either with perfect pomp and enthusiastic aura of a new rising sun. Lighting away the whole path with radiance, on 4rth September, our new team of EES paved their steps to hold high the torch of the legacy of their ideals. Completion of a successful year back, with exciting practical experiences in our career bags, electrical engineering society  unfolds a heart warming welcome to our new fraternized team, that has been declared by our honourable faculty advisor, Dr Nitin Anand Srivastava Sir. As we greet our new bunch of EES, with ignited visions ahead, EES aims in following their footsteps and amplify it's spread and amalgamate it's intensity to every nook and corner.

“Farewell, wherever you fare till your eyries receive you at the journey's end. May the wind under your wings bear you where the sun sails and the moon walks," Hard as it is to admit, it was now time to bid adieu to yet another batch. To acknowledge the bittersweet highlights of a journey that has now come to an end and to wish luck for future endeavours, a proper goodbye had to be said. In the light of the current situation and with a heavy heart, the Electrical Engineering society organised an online farewell to the 2020 batch of the Electrical Engineering department on 21st, August.  Reminiscing the journey, the event was filled with many trips down the memory lane.
