Vis-à-Vis 2025 Begins: A Dynamic Group Discussion to Power Up Voices

The Electrical Engineering Society (EES), IET Lucknow is all set to kickstart its much-awaited literary series Vis-à-Vis 2025 with a Group Discussion session scheduled for 22nd November 2025, from 2:00 PM onwards, at the Seminar Hall, EED. Designed exclusively for first-year students, this opening event aims to create an active and encouraging space where freshers can articulate their ideas with confidence, engage in meaningful discourse, and explore diverse viewpoints. As participants gather around the discussion tables, the atmosphere is expected to be buzzing with curiosity, thoughtful anticipation, and the excitement of stepping into a collaborative learning environment.

The Group Discussion promises to be more than just an activity, it is a platform for students to challenge their thinking, sharpen their communication skills, and learn the art of expressing themselves clearly and convincingly. With topics ranging from real-world issues to abstract themes, the GD round will help freshers develop critical reasoning, active listening, and teamwork skills that play a key role throughout their academic and professional journeys. 

By organising this engaging first event under Vis-à-Vis, the Electrical Engineering Society aims to inspire freshers to participate actively in literary and intellectual activities throughout the year. The Group Discussion marks the beginning of a series of enriching sessions that will shape students’ confidence, creativity, and thought processes. With enthusiasm building up and the stage set, Vis-à-Vis 2025 is ready to open with impactful conversations, fresh perspectives, and a celebration of ideas in their purest form.

Electrical Vehicle Technology and Industry

  A five-day live-online-training-program (24 to 28 November 2020) was scheduled on “Electric Vehicle Technology and EV Industry” (which includes Control of Electric Vehicle) for organizing in November, 2020. Visit to State Load Dispatch Centre (SLDC)

  A one day technical visit to State Load Dispatch Centre (SLDC) of Uttar Pradesh was organized for Electrical engineering students by Electrical department and EES on 9th October, 2021. SLDC is the prime body which is responsible for the integrated operation of power system in Uttar Pradesh. SLDC ensures the secure and economic working of the state grid and also carry out practical operations for grid control and electricity dispatch in the state. The SLDC works under RLDC which further works under NLDC. We would really thank our honorable HOD Dr. Seethalekshmi K Ma'am as well as the staff for organizing the visit. Inaguration of Tesla Hall: EES Library & Meeting Room

On 24th November 2018, the meeting room and library of EES, the Tesla Hall, was inaugurated by the hands of Alumni of the 1993 batch of the department in presence of Prof. Bharti Dwivedi ma'am. The inauguration was scheduled on the occasion of Convergence'18, the Silver Jubilee program of 1989-93 batch of the institute. The work of the library was started after it was announced in the Teacher's Day program. By the hard work of the Library Committee and other active members of EES from 2nd and 3rd year, the library has again come to a state to operate for the welfare of the students of the society. Special thanks to HOD sir, Prof. Kuldeep Sahay for providing curtains and a  roundtable along with cousin chairs for the hall. Also, head sir has agreed to give a desktop and a printer for the library. The society has also arranged a whiteboard, a clock and sheets for the windows from its fund.
