Group Discussion Round – Voices of Insight at Vis-à-Vis 2024

The Group Discussion (GD) round of Vis-à-Vis 2024, organized by the Electrical Engineering Society (EES), IET Lucknow, was successfully conducted on 23rd November 2024. The event witnessed an enthusiastic participation from a large number of first-year students, each eager to express their ideas, opinions, and perspectives.

The session aimed to nurture critical thinking, teamwork, and effective communication among participants. Students engaged in thoughtful discussions on diverse and contemporary topics, showcasing not only their knowledge but also their ability to reason, collaborate, and articulate effectively.

The event was graced by the respected faculties of Electrical Engineering Department, whose presence and guidance added immense value to the proceedings. They appreciated the participants for their confidence, clarity of thought, and balanced approach during discussions. The faculty also commended EES for providing such an enriching platform for freshers to develop essential soft skills alongside their academic journey.

Overall, the GD round proved to be a great success, setting a remarkable tone for the upcoming rounds of Vis-à-Vis 2024. It truly reflected the spirit of learning, leadership, and expression that defines the EES at IET Lucknow.

Inaguration of Tesla Hall: EES Library & Meeting Room

On 24th November 2018, the meeting room and library of EES, the Tesla Hall, was inaugurated by the hands of Alumni of the 1993 batch of the department in presence of Prof. Bharti Dwivedi ma'am. The inauguration was scheduled on the occasion of Convergence'18, the Silver Jubilee program of 1989-93 batch of the institute. The work of the library was started after it was announced in the Teacher's Day program. By the hard work of the Library Committee and other active members of EES from 2nd and 3rd year, the library has again come to a state to operate for the welfare of the students of the society. Special thanks to HOD sir, Prof. Kuldeep Sahay for providing curtains and a  roundtable along with cousin chairs for the hall. Unveiling Creativity and Insight: The Picture Perception and Description Test with Electrical puzzles Competition

On 18th October 2023, the Electrical Engineering Society hosted an electrifying competition, blending creativity and technical prowess. Our 2nd-year electrical engineering students wove narratives around captivating images, showcasing their unique perspectives. The event featured two dynamic levels: a story-writing challenge and a technical quiz. *The competition's first level transported participants into a realm of imagination, where images ignited the spark of creativity. Each story woven was a testament to the depth of talent within our 2nd-year electrical engineering cohort. The narratives, rich in detail and imagination, painted vivid scenes that showcased the students' innate storytelling abilities. *The transition to the second level, a technical quiz, proved to be equally enthralling. Visit to State Load Dispatch Centre (SLDC)

  A one day technical visit to State Load Dispatch Centre (SLDC) of Uttar Pradesh was organized for Electrical engineering students by Electrical department and EES on 9th October, 2021. SLDC is the prime body which is responsible for the integrated operation of power system in Uttar Pradesh. SLDC ensures the secure and economic working of the state grid and also carry out practical operations for grid control and electricity dispatch in the state. The SLDC works under RLDC which further works under NLDC. We would really thank our honorable HOD Dr. Seethalekshmi K Ma'am as well as the staff for organizing the visit.
