Visit to the Lucknow Metro Rail Corporation (LMRC)

 To strengthen and augment the transport infrastructure of the city with a holistic multi-modal transport system, Government of Uttar Pradesh has decided to implement Lucknow Mail Rail Project as an integrated mass public transport system that meets the mobility and accessibility needs of people of Lucknow. LMRC’s vision is to create and provide quality services to the inhabitants and visitors of Lucknow, known for its rich culture and tehjeeb, through a World Class Mass Rapid Transit System that is convenient, safe, fast, reliable and cost effective.

A visit by the Electrical Engineering Department, Institute of Engineering and Technology, Lucknow, was organised for B.Tech 3rd-year Electrical Engineering students to Lucknow Metro Rail Corporation on 18/10/2022. Students got the opportunity to learn about all the details of the working metro stations(17 normal/elevated and 4 underground), the controlling system done by SCADA, the Chiller plant monitor, the real-time train monitoring system, the advertisement controller and the ventilation system in the underground station. 

The students expressed gratitude to Assistant Professor Dr Shweta and Assistant Professor Er. Adeeb Uddin Ahmad for their constant guidance and support throughout the visit.

Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar, India.
