Vis-À-Vis ’25: A New Beginning for Voices and Ideas

The Electrical Engineering Society (EES), IET Lucknow proudly announces the commencement of Vis-À-Vis ’25, a dedicated literary and communication-based initiative curated to welcome and empower freshers of the Electrical Engineering Department at IET Lucknow. This flagship event marks the beginning of an enriching journey for first-year students as they step into a space that values articulation, thoughtful dialogue, and confident self-expression.

Vis-À-Vis ’25 comprises four carefully structured segments - Group Discussion, Presentation, Just A Minute (JAM), and Debate each crafted to build essential skills needed for academic excellence and professional growth.

The Group Discussion segment encourages participants to exchange perspectives on relevant themes, helping them develop clarity of thought, logical reasoning, attentive listening, and effective teamwork, which are crucial in interviews and collaborative settings.

The Presentation round invites students to explore their analytical and creative abilities by presenting topics with structure, coherence, and visual clarity, enabling them to refine their research, storytelling, and delivery skills.

The dynamic Just A Minute (JAM) activity tests spontaneity as participants speak on on-the-spot topics for one uninterrupted minute, enhancing quick thinking, fluency, time management, and stage confidence.

The Debate segment provides a platform for participants to construct arguments, defend viewpoints, and engage in healthy intellectual exchange, fostering critical thinking, persuasive communication, and a deeper understanding of multiple perspectives.

Together, these events form a comprehensive platform where freshers can discover their potential, overcome stage hesitation, and build strong interpersonal and communication skills from the very beginning of their academic journey. With Vis-À-Vis ’25, Team EES aims to create an inspiring environment that motivates students to step beyond comfort zones, interact meaningfully, and shape themselves into articulate, confident, and future-ready individuals as they embark on their journey through EES, IET Lucknow.
