The Great Debate – When Words Turned into Power at Vis-à-Vis 2024

The Debate Round of Vis-à-Vis 2024, organized by the Electrical Engineering Society (EES) of IET Lucknow, was held on 3rd March 2025, bringing together some of the most articulate and passionate minds from the first-year batch.

As one of the most intellectually charged events of the series, the Debate round gave participants a platform to voice their opinions, challenge perspectives, and defend their stance with logic and confidence. Topics ranged from social issues to technological trends, encouraging students to think critically and speak persuasively.

Each participant demonstrated remarkable reasoning, composure, and eloquence, turning the room into a lively arena of ideas and arguments. The event wasn’t just a contest of speech it was a celebration of awareness, articulation, and respectful disagreement.

The session was graced by the faculty members of the Electrical Engineering Department, whose presence added great value to the occasion. They appreciated the participants’ clarity of thought, command over language, and confident delivery. The faculty also commended EES for consistently creating such platforms that nurture leadership, communication, and critical thinking among students.

The Debate Round concluded with applause, insightful takeaways, and cheerful faces marking yet another successful chapter in the Vis-à-Vis 2025 series. It truly embodied the spirit of "Think. Speak. Convince." that defines a great debater.
