Hold High The Flame: Inspiring Journeys, Guiding Sparks

 The Electrical Engineering Society (EES) of IET Lucknow successfully conducted Hold High The Flame – Episode 05 on March 29, 2025, at 2:00 PM via Google Meet.

The guest speaker for this session was Mr. Dhruv Pandey, an accomplished alumnus of IET Lucknow (Batch of 2024, Electrical Engineering), who secured AIR 53 (EE) and AIR 13 (IN) in GATE 2025, along with AIR 324 (IN) in GATE 2024. His remarkable achievements and deep understanding of the field made him an ideal mentor for aspiring engineers.

During the session, Mr. Pandey shared his preparation journey, strategies, and insights on how to maintain consistency, focus, and motivation while preparing for competitive exams like GATE. He also emphasized the importance of strong fundamentals, time management, and self-belief in achieving excellence.

The interactive Q&A session allowed students to directly engage with him, gaining practical advice and valuable inspiration from his experiences. The talk was not just informative but deeply motivating encouraging participants to strive for academic and professional success with determination and clarity.

The event was well-received online by attendees, with faculty members appreciating EES’s efforts in organizing yet another impactful session under the Hold High The Flame series. Their presence and encouragement added to the session’s warmth and inspiration.

With Episode 05, EES once again upheld its vision of connecting experience with enthusiasm, guiding the next generation of engineers toward excellence and purpose.

Inaguration of Tesla Hall: EES Library & Meeting Room

On 24th November 2018, the meeting room and library of EES, the Tesla Hall, was inaugurated by the hands of Alumni of the 1993 batch of the department in presence of Prof. Bharti Dwivedi ma'am. The inauguration was scheduled on the occasion of Convergence'18, the Silver Jubilee program of 1989-93 batch of the institute. The work of the library was started after it was announced in the Teacher's Day program. By the hard work of the Library Committee and other active members of EES from 2nd and 3rd year, the library has again come to a state to operate for the welfare of the students of the society. Special thanks to HOD sir, Prof. Kuldeep Sahay for providing curtains and a  roundtable along with cousin chairs for the hall. Vis-a-Vis: A Debate That Sparked Minds and Voices

The Electrical Engineering Society successfully conducted a debate of   Vis-a-Vis , that stood as a celebration of ideas, intellect, and informed expression. In an age dominated by quick opinions and shorter attention spans, Vis-a-Vis reminded everyone of the power of structured thinking, respectful disagreement, and meaningful dialogue . Participants were challenged not just to speak, but to listen, analyze, and respond thoughtfully . The Presentation Round of Vis-à-Vis 2024 , organized by the Electrical Engineering Society (EES) of IET Lucknow , was held on 9th April 2025 , marking the grand and insightful conclusion to this year’s literary series. This round provided first-year students with an opportunity to express their creativity, innovation, and communication skills through impactful presentations on a wide range of topics. From social awareness and technology-driven ideas to imaginative solutions and personal insights, each presentation reflected originality, research, and confidence. Participants effectively combined visual elements, storytelling, and public speaking to make their presentations engaging and persuasive.
