Hold High The Flame- Episode 03

The Electrical Engineering Society has a long-standing custom of staying in touch with our department's alumni to gain knowledge from their perspectives. In keeping with the tradition, the EES Society hosted the third episode of the "Hold High the Flame" series on the 2nd of July, 2022 via Google Meet.

We had Mr. Nitesh Singh of EE batch 2020, as our guest, an IET Lucknow alumnus from the Electrical Engineering department. He described his journey during the session, noting the difficulties he encountered and the methods he used to get past them. His life experiences struck a chord with the youngsters, reassuring them that success is possible with perseverance and hard effort.

He emphasised the significance of establishing specific objectives and developing a plan to reach them. To achieve one's goals, he emphasised the value of tenacity, resilience, and ongoing learning. The students were encouraged to embrace a mindset of growth that allows for continuous progress and to see setbacks as stepping stones to success. He also offered helpful guidance on creating networks and seeking mentorship.

In an interactive Q&A session that followed the event, students had the chance to ask specific questions and learn more. The audience felt inspired and emboldened as a result of Nitesh Sir's generous sharing of his knowledge and experience. The lecture given by our respected alumnus was a great success all around. The students expressed their gratitude to the faculty advisor, Dr Nitin Anand Srivastava, the Head of the Department, Prof. Kuldeep Sahay, and the entire EES team for organising this enlightening and encouraging session.

On this day,  the Electrical Engineering Society of IET College organised an event earmarked for our teachers, who are well-known for their role in carving their students' lives.  The event started with the lighting of the lamp and was followed by taking blessings from the goddess Saraswati. Then there were programs like speeches, poems, and songs highlighting the importance of teachers in our lives. Soon after, the teachers shared their words of wisdom with the students and encouraged them to follow the right path. We felt grateful listening to the inducing terms from the faculty.
